I LOVE WRITING SO MUCH I EVEN ENJOYED WRITING THIS SENTENCE!

And this one.

And this one too.

Oh, and these ones:

About me:

Hi. My full name is John Walter Delaney, and I sound like I could have been a president. But in reality, I’m a copywriter who does improv. (Sorry, mom.)
Although I’m pursuing writing, I have been performing on stage since I was 10 years old. Musicals, sketch shows, stunt work that I’m not qualified for…I’ve done it all.
Despite my love for drama (don’t get me started on Meisner), everyone always laughed at me, so I leaned into comedy and went to Second City. This is where I learned to write.
In honing my craft I have discovered the importance of following the strange. At first, this was just for fun. But eventually it became an obsession. Strange, steeped in a love for writing, led me to win the Mike and Anne Malone Award for Short Fiction at NIU, for my abstract story that drove me insane: “Don’t Help The Little People”.
Personally, I find freedom in embracing what makes me weird. As an aspiring writer I believe our weirdness makes us human, and I will never shy away from my crazy thoughts.

Because sometimes if you give it a chance,
Those crazy thoughts might start to make sense.
